Anyone been following the news on this woman who went missing while walking her dog by a river in Lancashire? Her mobile phone and dog found near a bench on the footpath by a member of the public.

Divers have been searching the water to no avail so far, police hypothesise she fell into the water very strange.

Same mate something just doesn’t seem right.

The bench they found her phone on is at the top of a steep banking, so it's quite possible she slipped, banged her head, and went under. The river there has been described as deep, and judging from the banks probably quite fast flowing.

Still seems a bit of an odd story though, pity they can't ask the dog.

With the Dog being found near the bench and phone it seems pretty likely she fell in, if she had been kidnapped surely the Dog would have followed

Like cleavers said she could have banged her head while falling so was unconscious.

I was watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind on Film 4 last night.
Is an alien abduction a possibility?
People will scoff at my suggestion, but I may have the last laugh when the Mother Ship sets free all the humans

I think that there is a distinct possibility that the dog went into the water and got into trouble and she went in to save it. Dog got out she didn't.
You would think that there would be some way of being able to tell if the dog did enter the water
