Please tell me I'm imagining this? As soon as Young gets properly called out for the cheat that he is, we now have a full section of the program dedicated to showing as many players from as many other teams diving to help even it up?

Seriously? Is that what was just on?

Really?!

Exactly, he just went and justified their serial cheating by pointing out isolated incidents. Fergie will be delighted.

Al Jazeera really can't come quickly enough.

On a more amusing note in the formation pictures, how much does Di Santo look like a young equally confused Kammy?

When Robert Pires did a similar dive I dont remember SKY doing a section of the show to defend him. Infact there was a section of the show condemning him. (Arsenal were fighting the Rags for the title at the time).

Hmmmmmmmm.

Am I missing something? Why was Dzeko, against Sunderland, under scrutiny?

Very disappointed with this thread.

Thought there would be an appreciation of our new global star and young footballer of the year-elect.

Instead, it's a navel-gazing debate about a Rag has-been.

Old habits die hard, I guess. :(

No idea.

Said to my missus, there's a MASSIVE difference between two players in a line, and one running into the other (Dzeko) and two players staggered, and one throwing his legs towards the other to make sure he can go down (Young)

MNF stands for Monday Night Football, so we can only go off what is being said on that show.

Because he went down very softly seeking to earn a penalty in a similar way to Adam Johnson and the majority of premier league footballers. You can't blame the players, if anyone you have to blame the administration for not dealing with it effectively. The premier league aren't going to do anything because it will penalise us in Europe where going down softly/diving or whatever you want to call it is rife.
FIFA are the only ones who can stop this by introducing retrospective bans for those caught in he act.
If Young, Carroll, Dzeko, Johnson etc would have received a one game ban for conning the referee then players diving would stop tomorrow.
If however you can earn your team an advantage that may win you a match or even the league without reprisal then of course it's going to happen, these players aren't total idiots.

Neville is my all time most despised player shit of the highest order on the field and when I heard he was taking over from any grey I nearly cancelled my sky subscription!!!! Got to say next to Quinn ( god love him ) then he has turned out to be the best pundit on the box, when the camera is on then utterly fair!! Bet he dies a little inside each time he praises us though

Don't know what mnf means but I know that he's right about Sergio . He's a rolls Royce of a striker. He's up there with van persie and Rooney as the best in the league. He's a different kind of player to both, of course. He has pace, workrate, strength and a killer eye for goal. A 30 goal a year player .

He's the best centre forward I've ever seen at city.
I agree!

You will have seen a few more than me. My centre forward memories started with Paul Moulden, Oldfield, Sheron, Quinny, Uwe (my favourite), later onto The Goat, Wanchope and then it was good to see Anelka. Not the best group of centre forwards to go off. But I have also seen very good strikers like Alan Smith, Ian Wright, Anelka, Bergkamp and Henry at Arsenal; Hughes, Cantona, van Niistlroy, Rooney at the Rags; and others like Shearer, Drogba, Torres... all live a number of times and Sergio is as good as any of them. At 23 I don't recall many being as good as Sergio is now.

He's a proper top player!
