It's a prety significant changes that will affect a lot of people.

IF you're happy with the changes then good luck to you, as far as I can see people have every right to disagree with them.

It's not just moaning for moanings sake, it's having a say about what is happening at the club.

Its not that moomba. Many have been saying that City was a family club where families were welcomed and that we've lost that identity, most City fans i've spoke to have said this.

So City do something about it, and, no doubt some of those were NS's. The club have listened to the fans and are getting dogs abuse for it. They have made an attempt to get that family feel back into the club, and while yes it has affected a few people, all this 'Fuck off City' is harsh.

City also have to build a foundation for the future, and without youngsters there will be no future. Like it or not, we aren't the priority anymore, you're son or daughter, and mine if i have children are the future of this club and are now going to be an important part of that future, more important than you and I. Does that bother me? Does it fuck, cos i know for however many years i have to live im going to enjoy every moment of it as a City fan, no matter what the prices are, no matter where i have to sit, and no matter where i have to travel.

Do you honestly think we will get 10,000 - 30,000 new fans between the age of 25 - 60? Possibly 10k, very slim chance though cos by the age of 25 you're already loyal to 1 or 2 teams.

Now do you think we will get 10,000 - 30,000 new fans between the age of 5 - 16? I do. Kids are the future of football. Getting them in early gives this club a very healthy foundation for the future and a great turnover too. When i say turnover, i mean death to alive ratio.

Almost 11 years ago, we, City, nearly didn't have a future. So be greatful for what you've got now.

Agree, if 11 years ago someone walked upto any City fan and said, in 11 years you can be the richest club in the world... BUT your going to have a move seats and have a bit of an increase on your ticket... Is that ok? Every GOOD City fan would have been pinching themselves... People are acting like little brats, yeah it's a bit crap that you got to move seat, get over it it's happening! Would you rather keep your seats and the sheiks take their money elsewhere?

To sum all these threads up, the people who are not affected by either a 50% or 100% increase in their tickets or being forced to move against their will are the ones who are moaning. Those who are not affected don't give a shit! I have still to meet or speak to one fan who did the online survey who said 'yes I will move against my will or pay more for my kids tickets' If there is anyone on here who did please let me know.

Come on this morning to have a read hoping it would have died down since yesterday, and its just as bad as ever.

Do some people not understand, City is a business. This is a positive, as it shows that Mansour obviously has a vision for the future.

Why people are now slagging our CEO is beyond me. Cos you have to move seats? Woopy fucking doo! Blame McKintosh and Wardle. There used to be a family stand at Maine Road and it was fucked off by these 2 arseholes. Blame the past not the present.

Also, you all dream about having the best players at City, me too, but what you seem to forget is that those best players want to play Champions League football. Without a price rise on tickets how the hell are we supposed to match the guidelines that UEFA set?

You've had you're moan, like im doing right now. Can we get back onto football matters because when some of you talk about certain people or politics at the club you really dont have a fucking clue!
My 12 year old doesn't understand it's a business so get fucked

I dont understand why you have to move as you're son is 12 which allows you to stay where you are.

I take it the get fucked part was aimed at myself?

I dont wish to speak for CB but it might be that they dont sit in the North stand and dont want to move hence he is seeing a 100% rise in the price of his kids ticket. Now he might wish to stay where he is for 2 reasons

1) he knows everyone around him and they have a good view that they like seeing the game from
2) he knows that when his lad is over 16 he will have to move out of the family stand to another area of the ground though god knows where that might be

either way he may not be too happy with the changes implemented by the club

What gets me about all this is that the people who post on this forum think that they are the only ones who should have a say on things.
The club sent out a survey to all season ticket holders 35,000 not just the 500 or so who post on here.
How do any of us know they are not acting on what the majority of season ticket holders wanted?

If City had stated that they were contemplating moving all the Northstanders without kids and effectivly forcing all those with kids into the Northstand then fair enough but they didnt so imho nobody who answered that survey would have thought that was the likely outcome

The people who are complaining about being moved is doing my head in. "Oh we like the people around us" etc. Here's a tip, if you want to spend 90 mins talking to someone, go to the pub and do it. You are there to watch a game of football and support your team.

Same as all the wank about "Oh don't move the away fans, they provide all the entertainment. Think of the banter!". No wonder why the support is so dire, there's too many idiots wanting to be extras in Green St Hooligans 17 than supporting their own team.

I presume your not being asked to move then. And dont fucking tell me what I am supposed to do at a football match I have probably been a season ticket holder longer than you have been alive

The point is that we have good seats where we are which we chose when we moved from Maine Road and when the kid is no longer a junior we will now be forced to move which would otherwise not have been the case. That in itself would not be too bad if the club had catered for this and had similar seats to offer the movers. Instead we will have to take our chances and having spoken to the ticket office we will not get seats nearly as good as those we have and will have to pay considerably more.

We are not in the family stand (North Stand level 2) where this would have happened any way I guess but North Stand level 1.

If this was being done in the South Stand there would be uproar and rightly so. This is no different. Put yourself in our shoes. I understand the reasoning for doing this but the impact on the fans affected is disproportionately unfair and seemingly not an issue that the club could care less about anyhow which makes it even more irritating.

The communication has effectively been as follows:

Like your seat that you have renewed every year since we left Maine Road?
Clearly or you would have moved!
Anyway you and your lad can stay there for now but will now be surrounded by clowns, face painters and childrens tv.
You can move now if you like but your tickets will cost hundreds more for both of you in other parts of the ground and the view will not be as good unless you payus even more than that.
Or you can wait till your kid is no longer a junior when you will have to move anyway but of course you will have even less choice of seats as we become increasingly successful. (The club shop will be selling binoculars though).
By the way we have put the price of your season tickets up at well over inflation during a recession as well even if you choose not to move immediately.
Not happy? Tough shit we have you by the short and curlies.
As always thank you for your wonderful support.
Love Garry.

It's a seat, not your house.

This might surprise you but if you sit somewhere else, they don't suddenly start playing backgammon on the pitch. It's still a game of football.

Well what do you expect them to do? Move all the families next to the pissed up away fans?

Why not put a screen between the 2 let the kids paint on it or why didnt city wait until the moved the away fans and then moved the northstanders to the SS and put the away fans in the gods or the could have left things alone until they had had a proper consultation process rather than the this is happening next week tough luck attitude

And if people didn't have individual preferences where they wanted to seat we would just have a free for all each week.

Personally I like where I am, if I didn't I would have relocated elsewhere.

When I start bringing my kids to the match I don't want them to experience a kid friendly sanitised version of the game. So I'll pay significantly more for my kids to watch City than someone else, as you say it's just a seat so why the difference.

It's been repeated ad-nauseum why the away fans can't be moved.

But it is something City are looking into changing so why not wait until that process was completed

they have already came out and said its a no goer

For this season but they are looking to see if they can change things in the future

-- Fri Apr 23, 2010 2:02 pm --

It is clear that those who arent affcted by the move couldnt give a shit about those that are so thats fair enough. They clearly dont care where they sit in the ground which is strange because the crack at a match with either away fans or fans around me is what I go for.

However they fail to see why so many north standers might be upset. Hey lets hope they dont have to move next year because they will be in the gods then

they aren't trust me it was said its not possiable for this next or any other season they may have said they keep an open mind but maybe they knew what they were doing with the north stand along so that was another reason for not doing it
