Mobile homes

How far is far? Nowhere in Britain seems “far” from civilization and gainful employment.

And, designate Enterprise Zones, where there are no corporation taxes for X years as long as you hire Y number of workers in your enterprise. STIMULATE GROWTH AND WORKER MOBILITY by creating jobs where they’re needed. With jobs come services, the need for housing and a whole host of secondary investment.

It’s neither rocket science or reinventing the wheel, but I’m sure there will be a very British reason it couldn’t possibly work!!
The Enterprise Zone thing has been going on for decades, most recently in locations where traditional industries have decline, and job led growth has been underpins most plans.

You wouldn't set one up to support 300 new homes in a rural coastal town where there is a lack of developable land and insufficient transport infrastructure.

On that Bargain Brits in the Sun thing they all live in caravan sites in Benidorm.
Pay around 20k for a converted caravan thing then live off egg and chips and 1 euro beers for the rest of the days.

Happy Days our kid

They did until Brexit. Selling in droves now and you’d pick one up for peanuts if you wanted one.

Oh, Happy Days passed away last week as well. He was an alright bloke.

It sounds like that is the exact kind of area that needs one.

It doesn’t have to be located on the coast, but 5-10 miles inland, with connecting infrastructure to a major highway and into the coastal community would help reinvigorate the community, provide readily affordable housing, and green grants and subsidies could help generate a “new town” feel.

The lack of foresight, and even imagination of what COULD be, in Britain is an anchor around the neck of a dying economy and society.

Where is the VISION of what a late 21st century Britain COULD be??? Blow away the grey clouds and allow in some sunshine and light.
