Modern art.

I've just seen some of the "art" on display in Liverpool. One masterpiece is a 10ft tall piece of precast concrete in the middle of a derelict street. It looks like the kind of thing that is put there to stop travellers pitching up.

Any art is about provoking some feeling or emotion in you, not how well you can paint or draw.

I took a picture of a wall of old, worn stock bricks because they made me feel nostalgic from the time when i first ran my hand along a similar wall when i was about 5 in 1977. I remembered thinking then and getting the concept of time and how it passes and how things that are here were here a long time ago and will still be here when i'm gone.

So to me that picture is worth a 1000 Mona Lisa's.

I remember some pictures painted with tomato sauce, the art world went bonkers for them, stroking their chins and musing about the creative flair. Little did they know they were done by a 2 year old in his high chair. Pretentious twats!
