I think there's a postscript to this one.

The problem with trying to find these tracks individually and "re-creating" a playlist is that you
a) invariably miss out on one or two tracks or
b) sometimes won't get the same versions of the songs*

* In the early 1980s, K-Tel, Ronco and other labels often included edited tracks and / or early fades to ensure that got 10 songs per side on.

The only way to do this properly is to do your own vinyl rips.
