That’s the problem they have

Salah is looking around at how much players are getting at other clubs. If Mane is making a fair bit more than Salah now he’s moved (if reports are true), it’s bound to turn his head and start thinking why he isn’t making that money. I think most would agree Salah is a more high profile player than Mane, scores more etc.

So either liverpool have to let him go, or offer him a contract that can compete with what he could get elsewhere. Then the likes of Virgil van Dijk are going to start holding liverpool over a barrel and not signing new contracts until their wages are relative to Salah’s pay rise.

That’s not even mentioning potential signings. If the aforementioned start getting paid way more just to keep them, then players that potentially might be signing are going to look at that and their wages demands are going to be based off that.

It’s funny though, Liverpool and their fans get all high and mighty about them supposedly not paying players as much as other top sides. Well, I think they’re quickly going to find out that if they want to keep their best players then they might have to fork out and then once they do that with one player, it’s just a domino effect after that.

60m for Sterling to Chelsea and 70m for the diver to City on De Bruyne's numbers, who I think is the highest City earner, should be good for all three clubs and two players.
 
Salah will run his contract down and leave for free next summer. Would love to see him at City, but it won't happen there would be riots in Liverpool.
 
Purely for the piss it would boil, put a cheeky bid in for Salah, up his wages significantly, but on the condition in his first press conference when holding aloft his City shirt, he has to say " It's not about the money, I want to realistically win the premiership and play for the greatest manager in the world"

Here's the thing, someone is going to give them 60 mil for him. It may as well be us.

I hate the c**ts but there's a real opportunity to show once again they are a selling club and take their prized asset.

I'm not sure these are accurate. Add in the bonuses they get and it's loads more. Their wage bill is really close to ours

True enough but if those basic figures are correct, it's beyond stupid that the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain were earning more per week than Mane. Is it really any wonder that Mane fucked off?

It's from Sportac - and on the full list, Andy Robertson still earns £50k a week, Luis Diaz earns nothing, and the whole wage bill is well under half the amount reported in their accounts.

I think it just gets updated randomly from when a new contract is reported in the papers - lots of them are missed, and of course none of them give the full details of bonuses etc.

also 7 of the 12 on that list are aged over age 30,
