Mohammed Kudus

Kudus excels with free space to run into, he won't get that at us

He's got a lot of ability but honestly Bowen is better
He does but so did Bernardo at Monaco.

Similiarily to Bernardo, Kudus is a fantastic dribbler with very good technique in the tight-spaces. And especially at Ajax loads of hos goals came very Sterling/Lampard like, good to time runs into the box.

Very hard to say, but Kudus is one I feel actually gets held back in a worse team and would be better in a team like ours when we are firing.

Kudos to you and us ..

Bowen is average and we have better wingers in Doku and Savinho. Kudus would make our team better, Bowen wouldn't

Some lovely stuff in here:

Having said that, I can't help but think we're shopping at a tier lower than we used to. Buying players that have done quite well for a mid table side. When we bought Sterling, he'd been a key part of a team that almost won the league. When we bought Mahrez, he'd won the league and won at least one of the POTS awards in the process. When we bought KDB, he was the best player in the Bundesliga. Bernardo Silva had just won Ligue 1 and got to the semi-finals of the Champions League with a French team. The equivalent now would be us buying Saka (or Haaland, to be fair). Now we're linked with players that have done pretty well for Wolves, Leeds, West Ham, etc. And don't get me wrong, occasionally you'll unearth a gem from teams like that, but we do need to also be buying stuff from the top shelf occasionally too.

Would definitely improve us right away. Left wing or right. Can play as a 10 too. He was rated as one of the best talents from Ajax at the time. He can flourish in a better team. West Ham are not his level, with all due respect.

I do agree we have priorities however, midfield and defence needs sorting first.

Liverpool have always been pretty successful shopping at this level but we're awful at it. It'd be nice to get one right these days.
