On July 20th, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon, one of the most historic cultural events in 1969.

I must be a year older than you then (born 1968), so for me its Apollo 8: first around the moon (Borman, Lovell, Anders) & the assassinations of MLK and RFK.

Oh and City won the league just a few weeks after I was born.
