Think they must be something as doubt they want a load of football fans making the place look untidy

They held back the last train until the escorted fans got to the station. Unfortunately the arrogant bastard French police were stopping people entering the station until they were ready. This led to many of us wanting to go in the opposite direction missing our last train ☹️

They laid on special trains last time. We were held in and the trains waited. Worth checking though.

Held in for quite a while.
When we got to the station on the way there we were herded and marched by police to the ground. We did a runner down a side road half way there and found a decent bar. Pretty sure they said there was no alcohol being served in Monaco to try and get us to stay in Nice but they were lying.

I think Monaco was in fact dry but a 5 minutes walk to "france" and you were ok

2017 it was dry, we went to villefranche sur mer (if I remember correctly) then just short trip to Monaco

We found loads of bars. We stayed in Menton

Long story but I ended up going to the Barcelona v Zenit (think it was) a good few years ago and we got the train from Nice to Monaco. The train was fine as you would expect, but there was quite a few people getting pickpocketed on there including my Dad. They were seriously good and managed to get a few passports by all accounts.

If you're going on the train just keep your wits about you.

I went to Nice to watch Northern Ireland 2016 Euros, went to watch city there following year and been on holiday every year but one since as fell in love with place and area. Definitely keep wits about you on public transport or any packed public areas. As I said we stayed near station in Nice and drank in villefranche sur mar before game.

You do know it s meant to be a shithole there Blue ?!
I wouldn’t say it’s a shithole but it’s definitely gone downhill.

I much prefer Menton.

We were due to catch a train from Ventimiglia to Nice but they were all cancelled and it was €100 in a taxi. Probably half that from Monaco to Nice or Menton.
