Just remembered the French Journalist they interviewed on BT before the game sounding all smug, "Monaco are the entertainers of Europe.....highest goal scorers in Europe.... best team in France.. far superior to PSG... fantastic record against English sides... blah blah".

Everything positive that needs to be said has been said, and I agree with it.
Now, if we can just temper the enthusiasm a little. Stones and Otamendi. They appear to have no rapport whatsoever. In general – and I'm sure the lad will get better on this – John Stones doesn't seem to communicate enough with his fellow defenders. This is where Vinny is so good. I still think that a fully fit Vinny with John Stones would be far and away our best pairing. We can but dream. Anyway, please, Mr Guardiola, don't put Nicolas Otamendi with John Stones. It just doesn't work. I have more faith in Kolarov alongside Stones – and that's saying something.

Think with Kolarov being injured he had to go with Stones + Otamendi AND I think that Otamendi having Ferna on that side exacerbated the situation. In general though I agree on Otamendi. Him and Stones have zero rapport and tbh, I think Otamendi is more likely to go than Kolarov as things stand this summer.

We'll play a high line against anyone and everyone so mentioning it is pointless IMO.
Ferna played at LB but agree it didn't work last night.
Otamendi/Stones thing agree on.
Toure was immense last night, and we'll almost always have only 1 between the lines in that position. Pep doesn't like the double pivot it seems.
Think it's a deliberate tactic at times to let players run off our midfield. It meant that going the other way we were always absolutely deadly on the break.
