Monaco post match

MY last post about it I promise, but Mr. Derrien, a great european ref, got a twitter account where he discuss about arguably fouls, and he also said that it was not a penalty for Aguero. Lizzarazu (the other consultant for this media) said it was a penalty. Just bring up something to proof i'm not the only one to think that way:

@schfc6 : Yes he tuched it a bit. Lightly, but he tuched it. Since this summer new rules, it wouldn't have been a red anyway, no chance about it. You must do a "deliberate foul". Just like Otamendi did :p

Thanks for posting. I have no doubt football fans are the same in France and so the vast majority on here will
see it as a definite penalty and similarly I am sure Monaco fans view it differently. Not sure its as clear cut as some are making out so dont be put off from discussing it.

On a wider note I really enjoyed watching Monaco last night and the talented, fast, young attacking players you have. It was really great to see two sides focus on their strengths and back their style of play to win the match rather than turn the game into a dull, turgid tactical stalemate.

Needless to say I hope we win in France, but hope Monaco have a great end of season.

Stopped listening to the media. It's too negative. Just thinking that we have seen some great games this season.

Chelsea was good even though we lost.
Spurs
Barca
Last night
Arsenal was very good
Rags away in the league

Think we will end the season very strongly based on last night. The likes of zabba (who was immense when he came on) seem to want to end on a high.

just take them up to the top of your giant new building.

Fook me, was there an amazing Champs League game last night? Wouldn't know it listening to the radio this morning, talking about some non-league goalie eating a pasty and whether Rooney is going to China.....

I had Talkshite on, on the way to work. The Boiled Bollock was off sick with a hangover as usual and they had Eamon Fat Fuck Holmes hosting. I shit you not they discussed City for less than 60 seconds of a 3 hour programme, whilst droning on and on about Pubic Hair Head and debating whether they'd erect a statue of him outside the Swamp. I can see it now, half a tonne of wrought iron moulded into the image of a tub of lard bending a 60 year old over the bonnet of a Ford Zephyr......

Left the ground fuckin' knackered, had nearly lost my voice and my chest was wrecked from shouting and chanting so hard! WHAT A FUCKIN' GAME!

They were excellent, Bernardo Silva IMO was the stand out player for Monaco and looks like he has the potential to be a superstar like ar' Dave.

Otamendi had me barking, he just doesn't have the composure or leadership required to play with Stones and for it to become a successful partnership. There was a long high ball that went right towards him, yet he couldn't see the flight of the ball to deal with it and Mbappe got in front of him (again) to start a one on one.
Fernandinho wasn't at fault for the goals, but you could see they were really attacking that side as Fern was being asked to tuck in for the double pivot a lot. If we can get a leftback who has a similar ability to Alaba, who can play left back and midfield, that will be boxed off in future.

Anyway, enough of the negatives, Aguero was superb and tried his heart out. This is also the first game i've seen from Sterling that he has taken responsibility after seeing his team struggle and taken the fight to the opposition, that is the mark of a top player so he is definitely turning the corner to what we believe he could be. Sane was magic for the first goal, Silva worked so hard and was amazing, KDB had flashes of brilliance and worked hard too. Just a brilliant brilliant game, one that will no doubt get us a lot of fans who were neutral before the game.

Forgot to mention, Slippy G saying we have no chance of winning the league or champs league with this defence, while i agree we may struggle to always out score teams, he clearly forgets this:

GK 1 Poland Jerzy Dudek
RB 3 Republic of Ireland Steve Finnan Substituted off 46'
CB 23 England Jamie Carragher YC 75'
CB 4 Finland Sami Hyypiä
LB 21 Mali Djimi Traoré
DM 14 Spain Xabi Alonso
RM 10 Spain Luis García
CM 8 England Steven Gerrard (c)
LM 6 Norway John Arne Riise
SS 7 Australia Harry Kewell Substituted off 23'
CF 5 Czech Republic Milan Baroš YC 81' Substituted off 85'
Substitutes:
GK 20 England Scott Carson
DF 17 Spain Josemi
MF 16 Germany Dietmar Hamann Substituted in 46'
MF 18 Spain Antonio Núñez
MF 25 Croatia Igor Bišćan
FW 9 France Djibril Cissé Substituted in 85'
FW 11 Czech Republic Vladimír Šmicer Substituted in 23'

That's the squad for the champs league final in 2005, DJIMI TRAORE AND STEVE FINNAN. Josemi on the bench, Smicer, Biscan, NUNEZ?

Anyone can win the champions league.

On a different note last night, yet again when I didnt buy my seat in time and had to move rows away from my seat in 128, half the rows in front of me were full of French supporters. They even cheered their goals!!! Who is getting all our tickets in a stand that is nearly all season tickets and selling them on?????
