Bloody hell. Was due to fly out to Portugal on 10th but you can't look past those who've lost their jobs. Hope to goodness it works out for them.
OK this is what I know my wife got an emails from the man at the top it’s basically the same issue as last year, they aren’t going bump they need to renew their license but fuck knows why they leave it so late. They lost a shit load of money because of Tunisia, Sharm and Turkey, so they are now going to go back to long haul as well as short, they are in talks with various groups to get these routes, they are getting a cash injection from the company that bought into them last year. The high fuel costs due to Brexit and other speculation hasn’t helped but they have it all in hand, according to him fuel prices are coming down, long haul in the works, new planes have been ordered so they don’t be going anywhere soon.
And if they do it will royally fuck us up :(
WIfe has just woke up in tears we are fucked :(
The fucking cunts
Unfortunately they have no choice but to do that, part of the legal process of going into admin.Fucking disgraceful that mate. After saying everything was going to be ok as well. Cunts
No-one will find you an alternative - rebook and wait for the ATOL money seems the advice. It’s weird.
The licence that is up for renewal is it’s ATOL one for package holidays.
If it doesn’t get it the package holiday business will cease trading tonight.
Theoretically the airline can continue. It hasn’t had ATOL certification for a year. It doesn’t need it.
BUT
If the holiday side goes under the company could lose the confidence of suppliers, passengers, etc..
It trebled all its prices today to ensure they came under section 75 protection, thus protecting its shareholders.
I’m scheduled to fly on Wednesday.
My flight, as part of a package has ATOL protection.
What I don’t know is if they go bust will I be found an alternative carrier or get a refund and no one will tell me.
Currently I can rebook with another airline so I’d like a decision ASAP!

Ryanair are in the job market for pilots, I hear!
Aye,just a pity all Ryanair pilots will be Boeing trained,as that is all they have, but Monarch pilots would have been all Airbus pilots,as that's all they had, good theory, but shame it's like that
