Monday Night Football

After last night's very satisfying couple of hours, I got back home and, as usual after a major televised win, settled down with a beer and started to watch the recording of the whole program. I was expecting interviews outside the ground with fans, interviews with players, a couple of ex-footballers pontificating on the nights fixture, clips of past encounters etc etc.

What we got was a fat Andy Gray and inept sidekick pissing about with a video screen and spending most of the pre-match build up talking about the shite's draw at Fulham. The worst moment was when Gray walked Key's over to a small square of astro-turf to show the audience the position one of the Utd defenders should have been in when Hangeland equalised.

It was all nauseating, until of course the match started which, in my book, ranked alongside really top quality porn as late night viewing material.

Gray and Keys are well past their sell by date and in my opinion, should be pensioned off rather than demoted to Monday Night matches. In the meantime, Sky need to drop all of the techno shite and concentrate on the two teams in question.

wasnt just me then .... phew lol

i was sat here, waiting for articles on city and liverpool as the pre-match build up and all we seem to get was 45 mins of Fatty Gray and Richard "United asslicker" Keys analysing Uniited's goals from sunday. i thought "seriously WTF!!!"

the majority tuning in to the MNF would be City and dipper fans and the last thing we want to see is Fatty Gray using his magic finger, dissecting the scum play. I'd rather have City kick off at 3pm on a saturday and listen to the radio that sit through that tosh again.

but i'm pleased to report, because of that i was able to find out that farmgirl is a druggie and the blonde one from Hear'say kissed a tall bloke. happy news!!!

remind me if we are playing on a monday again, to only start watching from kick-off!! ;)

I didn't mind it too much to be honest, it was slightly worrying when Andy Gray nearly pissed his pants in joy when the team sheets came out and Liverpool were playing a 4-4-2 but aside from that I found it quite good.

I will admit going over to that green square of astro-turf to show us how to defend was ridiculous. Also explained what that bloke was up to hovering over the North Stand in that big crane.

Totally agree with the OP.Instead of messing about with all the gizmos and stuff, why not get rid of the 2 pricks instead? Its all very well trying to showbiz the programme up,but those 2 twunts are useless.Richard Keys has been on the Sky gravy train for far too long now,its time to get rid.One Mr F H Lee owned him last season and its time Sky recognised that he should be put out to grass.
what happened between keyes and lee ?

Apart from rehashing the weekends goals, I liked it. Unlike MoTD Andy Gray actually analyses the games. I thought the one last week where he pointed out the moving shadow of the ball as it crossed Reina's face (as a reason to suggest why he fumbled the ball) to be genuinely insightful.

The turf part was awkward though.

What pissed me off was the commentary
Totally biased
They said Liverpool had an off day
It wouldnt have mattered if Liverpool had a great day, we still would have hammered them

What was he up to?

I was on nights last night so missed the game but was looking forward to seeing extended highlights on SS1 at 1 today.

The program lasted 2 hours so I assumed I'd be getting to watch extended highlights. How wrong was I ?

First hour was Gray & monkey hands talking about the weekends games. AGAIN.

The highlights of our game lasted about 5 minutes.

FFS.
