Happened to me - guy at sorting office intercepted card and pin number - amazingly Natwest refunded me within the week.

Sounds like the kind of card clone I used to see a fair bit when I worked for a bank.

I would just explain to the club mate, I would hope they would be sympathetic to your circumstances it's hardly your fault.

I don't know the answer to your question Marco, but have you any idea how they got hold of your card details, I presume your card was cloned

Just going to log on to my account

apart from ebay my card isnt reg anywhere and paypal is pretty safe, i orderd some car parts via ebay and the seller ask me to do the transaction over the phone of course to pay you have to give the card details including the 3 didgit number once anyone has this there away, i suspect from that seller my details were passed on but cant be proved

Never buy anything off anyone on ebay that doesn't accept paypal.

I`m a seller and buyer on E-Bay and would never ever give my card details to anyone over the phone.

A similar thing happened to me a few years back. The bank gave me all the money back in a few days and let me have a free overdraft until it was sorted. The bank's fraud dept were excellent.

same happened to me a few weeks ago, it was all sorted.
