Halfway up a mountain,bumfuck nowhere,Snowdonia.
Was talking to a fellow blue and forum member who lives out here the other night, still feeling slightly giddy. We've been going to the matches together more or less since the 70's ,41 bus etc etc.
Then we realised, this is Manchester City..........when will the monumental fuck up occur.Time and time again, false promises and expectations risen only to be faced with same old same old. Please, tell me this isn't so

Mancini always goes on about the team needing winning mentality, maybe it's time for the fans to change their mentality also?

Everyone needs to get it into the tinny little minds we ain't " typical city" anymore. Times have changed, I'm getting sick of 40+ year old blues always expecting us to fuck up.

how about this

"man city did a typical city knocking man united out the FA cup"

"They did a typical city snatching a valuable winning goal against chelsea"

Behave little boy. The 40+ year olds have earnt the right to be pessimistic about our bright future. I'm 26 and seen enough false dawns and heard a million promises that have failed to materialise, god knows how they feel.

'Typical City' hasn't been eradicted until we've consistantly produced trophies and competing with the big boys. Then and only then will I be convinced that we've evolved.

Winning the cup, potentially finishing 3rd in the league thus qualifying for the group stages of the champions league still feels like a dream.

I'm just waiting for some fucker to wake me and tell me we've signed Kevin Davies.

I've thought about this too to be honest. Almost expecting something really bad to happen and on a bigger scale than simply messing up a deal for Kaka.

I had a feeling, and it still may happen, that we'd lose in the CL Qualifying Round. After all the celebrations to get in and then not even get past that stage. Could see it happening easily.

But like others have said, we seem to have knocked 'typical City' away and long may it continue!

Just when you thought it was the end of "typical City" with us qualifying for the chumps, then winning a fecking cup, Arsenal go and decide to put us through it for the final two matches
