He was right when he said a football fans will turn a blind eye to a lot of things if it is right for their club. That's what the majority of Blues did and what the majority of other fans would do if their club was in the same position. It's not like we had many other options. I am still glad we went with Shinawatra and not Ray Ranson as we'd most likely be playing in the Championship or worse now.

That is a fair point. Thaksin is guilty of some bad stuff in Thailand and I was uncomfortable (to say the least) with him owning City. From what gary has said on this thread though, Moores didn't refuse to do business for that reason, so he's just a stupid old sod trying to make himself look a bit less bad having sold his beloved club to a couple of clowns.

There seems to be a suggestion that Thaksin would have bothered with the Dippers and that the Sheikh would have then bought them in the way he did City.

One massive plus for CIty and its new owners is COMS.

In order to even get to our level of opportunity for revenue generation in terms of (re-)development opportunities hundreds of millions of pounds would be needed.

City were the best value option then and probably still are.
