Moores has a massive dig at City and its fans.

They were a struggling 2nd div team in the 50's until the Moores family started pumping in money as they did at the same time at Everton & both clubs thrived on having mega rich owners.
Guess what happened as soon as they pulled out of both clubs ? this crap about them being some iconic historical behemoth that has always ruled England is as false as the rags claim to have done the same.

The bid from Dubai International Capital (DIC)...
"Several things happened (or didn’t happen) that gave cause for concern. Our being made aware that DIC had devised a seven-year exit strategy was one such issue, along with a suggestion they intended to raise £300 million in working capital (ie, debt), secured against the club."

A 'lucky escape' from DIC...
"I was conscious of the fact I’d agreed a deal with DIC, and telephoned Sameer al Ansari to tell him that the board preferred Gillett and Hicks’s offer, and I wanted 48 hours to think things through. DIC representatives confronted me prior to the game and put it to me that I had to sign off on their offer immediately or the deal would be withdrawn. I told them I wouldn’t be held to ransom - and they withdrew the offer. With hindsight, we may have had a lucky escape there as Dubai is not the buoyant market it was in 2007."
So he thinks things could be worse, lol.

On the financial situation at Liverpool there is a very real danger that they could be forced into administration not just choose that route.

Their auditors have refused to sign off their accounts for the last 2 years and have suggested that the club may be trading whilst insolvent.

In essence the owners are doing and even more blatant job of draining resources out of 'Pool than the Glazers are at United.

They are rolling up more and more debt on the club with which comes more and more interest.

The interest payments are being 'deferred' and will earn more interest on the interest (compound interest).

So the debt continues to grow whilst their revenues are shrinking (and incidentally they have accepted that they cannot get any more blood out of that stone either) and are about to fall off a cliff with no CL monies next season.

Now guess who they all this interest to?

The owners thats who.

The banks that have extended the loans and overdrafts and some other 'facilities' now see that they will not meet their obligations under the re-scheduling of their debts which bought 6 months - essentially to find a buyer.

So what is it that means that no buyer is coming in?

I think the debts are far worse than publicly acknowledged and the way they are structured means Hicks and Gillette will be the main creditors as well as having to buy the club. All very dodgy.

I could go on but here's a nice little thought.

2 months ago a far eastern businessman was talking in terms of being close to doing a deal. He was allowed access to the accounts and he has never been heard of since.

What did he see? I think he saw an investment of over £3/4bn was needed and that excludes player purchases with a return of something like £30m a year in a good year. Those good years are now 5-6 years away if not further.

You can get easily 10-12% return with no risk at present so either buy Liverpool and wait nearly 10 years to make a penny or simply make £75m a year.

You choose.

Liverpool deserve everything they get, they've had it to good for too long and now its time for their glory hunting fans to join the real footballing fans and get behind their club during the bad times, if that is what this is to them.

There is a letter in the Times from the ex-chairman of Liverpool, David Moores.

So now apparently Liverpool are being sold as the most honorable club, the club that does things right. Liverpool is the club of the people etc etc.

Funny him having a dig at OUR fans on the 25th anniversary of his fans causing all those deaths in Heysel.
Maybe we are not the only people to turn a blind eye eh?

'Unethical' to sell to the Thai's OR footballing suicide to sell to those Americans.

You pays your money and takes your chances.....

David Moores, struggling to see the wood for the trees!

If they'd sold to Frank then they might well have own owners now. Or is there something wrong with them too?

BINGO..... Frank was the best thing to happen to the club. Even if he his bent

Just been listening to Talk Sport. They were saying that Liverpool should go into administration to they can get rid of the owners.
Now i'm no expert but surely this is only happens when a club can't pay its bill. As far i know there is no sign of this happening but if it came to it they would just sell some players and continue to milk the club for a couple more years.

Have i read the situation wrong is there a REAL chance of Liverpool going into administration?
i fuckin hope not, jesus, the city of self pity will have a beano.
they'll start a JUSTICE campaign, have Jimmy fuckin Marsden on the pitch for their first home game, followed by a minutes silence and then they'll blame someone else,'wasn't our fault'
