Predictably we swatted Villa aside. After all they are crap. Not a one nil but a convincing scoreline. It's what we do against the clubs lining up at the bottom.

What is less impressive is that you have to go down to Southampton to find a side we have actually beaten this season.

We have played sides from Leicester down to United 9 times. 0 wins. 6 defeats. Not impressive.

The only positive is that the 3 games left against these sides are all at home. United, Stoke and Arsenal.

No way will we win the league but we should be able to get top four. Hopefully Pep will sort this out next year.

Would you have preferred we lost today.

And does it make you feel good to be able to use that rather clichéd phrase

I'm guessing his answer would be your user name!

There's already a perfectly good thread discussing our league position, this just stinks of attention seeking.

Personally I find it a bit infuriating the team decides to turn up, beats a poor side convincingly, but when faced with a more testing challenge continues to disappoint.

We had no more preparation time today than prior to the previous game but the result was a complete contrast.

Still we won which was the main thing and I still believe we will win it. It's the poorest league I can remember and with the quality of individuals I still think we will win it.

It's exactly what Real Madrid are doing in Spain. Winning against the lesser sides because of the superior quality and those teams struggling, but come up against anyone good and the flaws of the team, the poor tactical approach and simply being overrun make it very difficult to win any game.

It's pitiful but you have to start somewhere.

Beat Norwich and we might get some confidence going for a run

Have you numbnuts forgotten that we won a cup less than a week ago or have you been reading too many scouse rags and believe 3 points last Wednesday was better than a cup win. I despair.

Are you actually moaning because we won 4-0 today!!!
