More Help needed re 25 man Squad rule please

We all know that a new 25 man squad can be declared at the next transfer window. However if the next window closes 31st January 2011, you would think that going off this window the new squads shoud be submitted by 5pm on 1st February 2011.
If that is the case if we buy a new player on say 2nd January 2011 does that mean they cannot play for us until 1st February 2011 as they cannot be added to the existing squad??? Or is there something in place to stop this ridiculous situation occurring - Anyone know?

The squad can be changed from the 1st Jan but the FINAL squad has to be submitted by 1st Feb.
