More hilarity in the US election

As an example of how we are more advanced on the issue of racism: Take our average sporting event, where average americans come together- democrats and republicans, and everything in between. All depends where you are. Racism is very much alive here in the SE. Of course it doesn't happen at sporting events, because there would be no point. Take African Americans out of US sports, and you dont have sports. Or pretty crappy sports.

Now take something a little more important, say, an African American actually having a major say in the lives of white folks, how much money they have, their healthcare, their safety....and here they come....some of the stupidest, most racist people I have ever seen and heard have crawled out of the woodwork in the last few months.

Obama has got little chance of winning anywhere around here. Maybe NC and FL. Not because his policies are bad, but because he isn't white.

Shame.

So the fact that Fauxbama cannot get elected without the WIDESPREAD support of whites. TFC states that Fauxbama cannot win in the south as he is a black man. But what do you lot think of the fact that, probably, 93-95% of blacks will vote for fauxbama? Is THAT not a wee bit racist?? Do you think any white presidential candidate would get DC's electoral votes running against a black?? No fooking way but when there are overt instances of black against white racism (see Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson) there is hardly a mention in out corrupt left leaning media.

Now I repeat whats this about the LA TIMES actually supressing a tape of Fauxbama and some PLO bigwig ata dinner?? Does it really exist and has it been released yet?? I repeat the TV and print media are whores for the left and radio whores for the right-mostly!!

You havent answered the question. There have been PLENTY of races between blacks and whites in many mayoral races in the past. The votes fell about the same-90% + for the black candidate amongst blacks. That was the case the first time Guiliani ran against that waste of space of a mayor one David Dinkins. Dinkins beat him the first time but his reign was such a DISASTER for New York city that Rudy whopped him the 2nd time around and then we didnt have to put signs in our car windows that said, "No radio".

What are you going to say when Fauxbama wins it??? Then I would like to see a black/Indian/Pakisatni PM in YOUR country. I wont hold my breath!

I'm looking from the outside. You have a two party state with a right wing slant (bit like ours now). I don't believe the bullshit the democrats were coming out with about extending union rights with more recognition and organisation. But this campaign is probably one of the greatest historical events we'll ever witness and i feel McCain is too much of a loose cannon to take on that responsibility, and don't get me going on Palin.

The republican party have been taken over by Neo-cons as much as our "socialist" labour party over here (for my sins i'm still a member and will still fight for the values i joined them for) and i don't want that legacy to continue.

Maybe a few years in the wilderness will make them think seriously about what and where they are heading.

I understand EXACTLY what you mean by the state of British politics. The 'Glass Ceiling' here extends to candidates of 'colour', rather than women(white). But, that's not to say an Asian/ Chinese/ Black PM wouldn't happen. It's just 'highly unlikely'. Parliament is full of the 'old boys' network and I don't know what's going to change that.

This country talks(much like the US) about being a fair and 'tolerant'(fook, I hate that word!!) society, but that supposed to happen at ground level, it seems, because nobody's told the men in suits, it should happen 'up top', as well.

And, by the way, what question were you asking, since you were asking many in your rant?!

Originally I ahd a question regarding the fact that the LA TIMES was witholding a tape of a dinner Obama attended with some PLO big wig. Have they actuall witheld it?? If so, its a tremendous indictment of the left wing bias in the media-especially TV and print.

Also what are you going to say if Fauxbama actually WINS?? Were you wrong?? How could you NOT be wrong if he wins tomorrow?? BTW I dont think I "ranted" at all.......chip on the shoulder perhaps??

Ok, first of all, can we kill this myth of the 'L.A. Times dinner tape' stone dead, pls? Because let me assure you as sure as 'eggs is eggs', as you Yanks would say, that if such a tape was really in existence and didn't implicate Mr. McCain, in some way, the Times would be in court, so fast, you would know about it, by now.

McCain mentioned it, and said it was a 'rumour' that was heard around the US. Why did he do that? To plant the seeds of doubt and link Obama to terrorism, once again. Dirty, underhanded tactics. Similar to his attack of the Ayers connection(remember a Republican headed Ayers meetings?), McCain negates any Republican connection to events by simply using the main protagonists of his choice, in a singular situation. Quite brilliantly, it plays with minds already looking for reasons to doubt. In other words, it adds fuel to the conspiracy theorist in you.

So, why aren't the G.O.P. ACTIVELY pursuing the accusation, then, if true...?

Because, either it doesn't hold enough water as an accusation knowing what's actually on the tape... Or... It was JUST VICIOUS RUMOUR(add the muslim thing, Ayers, Acorn blah blah to that list as well)!!

Other than that, I've clue what you mean by 'will I be wrong if Obama wins?'. That makes no sense to me. In fact, it's total codswallop/ b*ll*x/ sh*te, what you're talking about.

I would like Obama to win, for all the right reasons.
