I think you may have a point there, lets hope he can do the same for Spurs
However I think this is more about spending way beyond their means with a silver tongued manager, with all due respect to Portsmouth they would have been better off bouncing between the divisions like West Brom and the rest, rather than trying to keep up with the bigger clubs, still I bet the fans enjoyed their brief time in the sun, as Liverpool and Rag fans are finding out, you can't keep the repo man away forever, sooner or later you have to start paying the money back.
As we found out to our cost, one profligate manager can screw up a club for generations
