Barry is fantastic (if a little out of form) and then we have De Jong, Kompany & Zabaleta able in that role, More importantly we need to upgrade out right back.

Simple, until January we deploy de Jong at right back with Zabba partnering Barry in the middle, and then in the new year we purchase Yaya and a top class right back, as well as a left back etc of course. Then you have a mid partnership of Barry and Yaya, and that waters the mouth.

2. i didnt include essien as some claim he isnt a defensive mid as he does burst forward quite alot.
3. i agree essien is better but toure is world class.

It is not that black and white - Essien is great at what he does - so is Ya Ya - both have some other qualities that the other misses - Ya Ya is 6ft 4 1/2 " and uses that height very effectively - that would help us big time - Ade has been a best defensive header - I also think he picks out a pass better

De Jong would get murdered by anyone with the slightest bit of pace if put at RB.
