More proof we are getting bigger...

When in Spain waiter congratulated me on our Premier league win. Had a nice chat only problem was he was a real Madrid fan and apologised for his team taking silva in the summer. It's good to have global recognition.

His team are STILL waiting to take Silva ...

it would appear that even the Spanish champions haven't , so far , managed to talk a Spaniard into quittin' City!

Yeah told him our silva isn't going any time soon. Just hope I right. In some ways it's good the publicity our players are getting now some of them are getting long over due praise and recognition.

It's like when you went to Spain as a kid you'd might buy a real Madrid shirt or a Barcelona one....

Something i've never done ......

i'd walk around both places in a City shirt , but id never buy either Madrids or Barcas gear .. and never would.

Mind you , having said that , i almost bought a Brazil shirt in the early 70's!
While visiting Barcelona I bought an espanyol shirt. An espanyol fan was so happy that I hadn't bought a Barcelona shirt like all the other tourists he let me off the entrance fee for a boat ride.

Did something similar in Madrid, looked everywhere for an Athlietico Kit for my little un, nothing but Barca and Real. Finally found a shop where they had one tucked away in the corner and the woman was nearly in tears with joy that a tourist was buying an Atheltico Kit (probably been try to shift it for weeks )

She said the following (what I made out in my poor spanish) "they are not a great team, they can be high, they can be low, but they are always in your heart" I was hung over and it nearly set me off.....

With a season like this... how can we not dominate the world?

Just watched that and it's set me off again, so emotional, I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the goals without blubbing like a baby.

I take it you mean Atletico de Madrid not Athletic Bilbao
Where I live there are plenty of Atletico shirts so it would simply amaze me that anyone would find it difficult to find an "Atleti" shirt in Madrid. We´ve won 2 UEFA´S and the Super cup in the last 3 years. More than Madrid in fact.
She was right about the last bit as well!! Like City in fact!

Thats the video just cannot watch it without welling up, bloody hell when will that stop! Just brings me back to that day fuckin hell its going o be weird at the start of next season. Can't even go to my usual pre match pubs as they've moved it to the Sunday and I can only just get there for kick off.

I'm in Spain ATM and have had a lot of the Spanish shouting players names at me n my mate's when we've had city shirts on, mainly been shouting silva/aguero/balotelli. However a lot have mentioned about us having money, like Malaga.
