Tried to log in to the city ticket website.

It said 'your password is incorrect'.

Said it would email me my password. I entered my email address. Got the email. The password wasn't there as promised. Instead I was told to click on the link to go to a password reset page. Reset my password.

Tried to log in with my new password.

It said 'your password is incorrect'!

What a dreadful service by a bunch of amateurs.

Pretty similar to whats just happened to me except i've still not had the fucking e-mail.

And they wonder why there are empty seats at cup matches. Buying a ticket has a high chance of being bungled by City's appalling ticket office so many people don't bother.

Why not have a message saying - 'your password is incorrect and we are too stupid, lazy, uncaring and incompetent to allow you to reset it'.

That'd save people the trouble of following the reset instructions just to end up with the same 'your password in incorrect' message.

I had this problem and apparently it all depends on what email provider you have.

AOL is a really nasty one and does not work with City's, so if like me you are on AOL they will never be able to re-set your password to it. I only got round it by ringing them, changing my email to my work one then hitting the reset, then changing it back to my AOL one.

Long winded I know ... but hey this is city :-)

I also had that fekkin stupid password problem which has you going around in circles and getting exactly nowhere. I also had a problem getting them to accept a Visa Electron debit card. i was told by 2 different people after the card was rejected that they dont accept them. When i looked back through my statement and realised i had used it in the past and rang them back they finally managed to get the fekkin thing to work.
