Morgan Gibbs-White

6 seasons as a senipr plater, 3 of them he was semt on loan to the chapionship with no team he went to picking him up, 2 season before this at forest where he was ok in relegation battles, but never ripped up any trees

This season in a much more solid and counter attacking team he has done fime but again hardly breaking into the team of the season.

This isn't entitlement from people it is assessing his career and not seeing how he improves us or fits our style of play.

Next year is no time for one of Peps experiments on moulding player i to new things like he has been doing to Gvardiol, Lewis and O'Reilly in the last few seasons and buy player we need in the positions we are weakest

Gialkeeper
Replacement for kev
new LB
new RB
prolific goalscoring midfileder/right winger

MGW doesn't fit any of them and in ORielly in his real postion, Kova pushed up, a hoppefully rejuvinated Foden and Rodri/Gonzo being able to play box to box for the fee just smacks of another philips.
Agreed

I see the word entitlement being used by some posters against those questioning aspects of current recruitment. Like any true fan they want what is best both for the club and by default what will be best for fans. That is not entitlement. I would suggest that the way fans are being treated by the club in respect of ticketing pricing and moving season ticket holders demonstrates a far more direct and insidious form of entitlement

I think the club know he’s not a 10. There will be moments he plays higher up if he comes here but that’s not what they want him for.

I imagine if no Wirtz they will back Foden, Marmoush and even Bobb as 10’s

Wirtz is generational and we’ve been looking at him for years.

I could see us getting a player that can play as 10 but also out wide though, especially if we lose Grealish, Bernie, McAtee. Who though I have no idea.
We have been linked to Rodrygo. Can play as a 10, on both wings.

MGW will never be De Bruyne. That's obvious. But he's a very good player and one that should be even better playing with top players around him and training with them every day. He's also a machine stamina and engine wise.

To be fair that logic also applied to Grealish, Philips and Nunes. Sometimes very good players at decent sides become nothing more than average players at top sides.

Again the issue is can he fit into a team that plays in compleetly different way and more importantly against teams who will set up very different against him if playing for us vs forest...

I dont see it

exactly this.

people presume just cause of pep all players will make that step up.....they wont.

Grealish, Phillips and Nunes all looked or do look horribly below the level required esepcially the last two. Rico Lewis who has been coached for 2 years under Pep now and longer withing the EDS under the same system cant do it either to a high enough level

Savihnio is also struggling as is Doku at times....(the latter has been here significantly longer however)

Its arrogance to think that just cause we have Pep he will be able to turn them all to the level required....he cannt
