Morgan Gibbs-White

We got hounded for spending money on Toure and KDB. Gundo joined after a big injury and Silva albeit a great player was never really linked to the likes of Barca or Madrid who sweep up all Spanish talent.

They are obviously 4 of the most important players in our recent history.

I’m not saying MGW will be but he deserves a chance instead of being shot down. If the club decide to buy him, support him. They have far more knowledge about football than me and you.

Stones, Walker, Lescott, Barry, Milner are all English players I can think of that weren’t at the highest level, but high enough with plenty of prem experience and took their games to the next level here.
Every single one of them I mentioned was a regular international.

Walker was one of the best RB in the league when we bought him.

Barry and Milner probably were about right for where we was at the time. We was laying the foundations.

And Stones was a class defender at Everton.

MGW doesn't stand out for me. He isn't even Notts Forest best midfielder.

And as for the club having better knowledge than me and you. They could have saved a fortune if they picked up the phone and asked me if Phillips and Nunes are a go.

The club sometimes get it wrong. The transfer windows are a huge area where we need to improve vastly, if we want to get back to dining out at the top!!

Rodri, Josko and Haaland are world class. Dias is more than decent and so is Marmoush.

Stop exaggerating.

Savio, Doku and Bobb are lightning and something we’ve needed for a while. But we do need more goal scorers out wide or for them to develop this into their game, I’m more confident in Bobb than this.
I admire your optimism

Doku isnt improving, hes as bad as the day we got him.
The rebuild is huge. I dont understand why you seemingly think its a player or two. Crazy

Okk... so we sell our academy prospect Cole Palmer that had been with the club since he was like 6 years old for 40m quid.

We are then interested in buying MGW who will no doubt cost around 80m.

Make it make sense.

If this is our top target, seriously... forget about competing with the big boys for a long time.

Bobb definitely looks like the more natural goalscorer of the 3, albeit from limited viewing. But a few of his finishes I've seen look very good and something I've yet to see from the other two.

Let's see how he goes. Wasn't ideal getting that injury just when it looked like he was about to really break through.

Hopefully he picks up where he left off once he's fully ready and hopefully it hasn't taken something out of him.

Probably not as a 10, but he might be good as a hard working 8 who can chip in with goals and assists.

But how good given the english price tag?

If they ask for like 70-80m, then thats simply not worth it.

But at like 50ish to start the rebuild for Kova, Gundogan and Bernie, im not opposed to it.

Im also simply not aware of the market for 8s in football, there isnt alot of elite ones available that arent at Barca, PSG, Liverpool or Madrid.

Reijnders?
Ederson?
Guimaraes?
Palacios?

who's said it's our top target

Makes sense.

He’s as important to them as Bruno is to Newcastle.

Then you have the element of them showing they are a selling club whilst going for CL football, so really you’d have to pay so much they couldn’t turn it down.

A club with history as a big team as well. Not like a flash in the pan like let’s say Leicester the club, fans etc. will think they can bring back the glory days and they need to make sure they don’t show willing they want to cash in.

Unless they do, football is a business in the end of the day.

Sell ons these days mean deals will be inflated.

But it’s roll on effect in some cases so the more a player moves the more the fee has to be to make up the fee for the selling club.

Means they're open to doing business

Or a hands off threat.

He won't suit Peps football and I would go as far to say as I think he would be a disaster signing.

He is a good player, but in the right team. Forest has the least amount of possession in the league and thrives running into all that space the opposition leaves behind them.

lets hope Txiki and Pep doesnt fall into love with him as they did with Grealish and didnt blink of the 100m asking price back then.

would Barca, Bayern, Real think of him and ready to pay anywhere above 60m for his services?

I hope we got burnt so much with Phillips and Nunes that we stay away from good players in mediocre sides. Forest will be back to mid table next year and was lower-mid table last season.

Bang average prem player who we’ll have to spend 100mil on and will not improve us one bit. Kev was player of the year, he’s not even the best player at Nottingham Forest.
