Morgan Gibbs-White

He doesn't improve the squad just makes it bigger, Wharton is HG as well
I'll bet Forrest would love McAt or Lewis in their midfield, both HG, not saying swap but they would

As long as we don't pay silly money for him, then I'm all in. Think he's a brilliant player, but not worth the fees being quoted around.

Obviously the valuation is relative to his importance with Forest (captain, leader and one of their best players) rather than what we are prepared to pay. I think people forget Grealish's was a release clause so we had no option but to pay that if we wanted him.

MGW is up for negotiation but I'd hope, and assume given Pep's glowing comments about him, that he wouldn't block NOR from being pushed into midfield sooner rather than later. Especially if we get a full back in the Summer.

Not a City level player, hyped up by media and helped by a team playing tactics that during a normal season would see them in mid table.

he has a great engine, speed, but imo not good enough for City. we need to go back to the pressing ways and our general play need to be quicker going forward which is hopefully planned by Pep by revamping the squad and old guard, but still we need high level technicians who have more speed to their game.

I would be happy if he was say, 30m

If it’s going to be much more than that I think the club should look elsewhere. Quality player, like the engine, but I don’t think he should start or anything.

I thought his pressing and all-round game was excellent tbf, if anything he needed to slow down at times when looking for the forward pass, rushed a few. Wont complain if he arrives, lots to like about him tbh.

I don't think he could cope with City's style of play. He'll end up being another Kalvin Phillips as he currently plays in a team that plays to his strengths where they sit deep and counter attack. When it comes to having the ball and looking to break down the opposition it doesn't suit him.

He is lucky that he is English . There has to be someone else who would be better. I‘d say Wharton but with Nico Gonzalez he makes no sense ( if the club is only interested since he is English)

He is a very good player for Forest. Nowhere near a £100m player and in terms of output is around the 15 g/a per season mark. Not for us as I would expect more from the attacking midfielder. KDB has similar stats for last 2 seasons having missed a lot of games and on the decline. I know its a less attacking set up but the price would be too steep for the output.

We have midfielders aplenty who are fine in the attacking half, including youngsters such as Foden and Lewis, but as with Rodri and Gonzalez, none of them have the ability to chase up and down the park. If Guardiola feels that he needs someone with such an engine, so be it, but it would not come cheap and would likely affect our ability to invest elsewhere.

I think NOR can play that role and looks made for it tbh.
I wonder then how buying a £100m player would affect his role next season, especially if we buy Cambiaso too?

It sounds like we're all in for Wirtz, so if we get him, i just don't think we need MGW.
