Morgan Gibbs-White

If Jack, John, Kyle and Nathan are all potentially leaving, then it makes sense that we'd have to get some homegrown talent. Eze would have been my preference but MGW is a good player too.

So long as he is not the marque signing, im good with it.

If we pay over £60M then I think we are being done, but even though I am not enthused by the purchase if he is coming I will back him.

I just hope the reason is not just for the home grown quota, but we genuinely see promise in a lad that has had one decent standout season in 6 senior year in the prem.

You do wonder what the clubs strategy is for replacing KDB. MGW is a decent enough player but not good enough for the aspirations we have or, for the cost, going to significantly improve the side.

A year later we will be on here saying we need to sign a KDB replacement and MGW will be blocking a place in the squad. Similarly in midfield we won’t be going for Wharton as we have a 50m pound Gonzalez/Nunes/Phillips who rarely gets trusted to play but are filling places.

Well who says they are, nothing to say MGW is anything to do with replacing KDB. Nothing to say MGW is anything at all to do with trying to buy Wirtz.

What are we going to be paying for him, will be a ridiculous fee for an average player. Hope we don't sign him, Eze would be a far better bet

The reality is that our treble winning side had the following world class players, as in players who'd get in all the too sides in the world.

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Rodri
Kevin
Bernardo
Erling
Gundo

All at the peak or near of their powers.

Now we have Gvardiol, Rodri, Haaland and in my opinion Marmoush.

If we want to get back on our pedestal signing good players is not going to be enough.

Wouldn’t Forest scam us to last penny possible? They will show us the amount we spunked on Nunes Phillips Grealish add the our own premium and will command a massive fee, still has 2 years left on contract

He is bernys replacememt if anything, an attacking midfielder who can convert to wide positions or drop back if needed

They would of course, and that’s their right. I just hope we don’t pay it because he’s average. We should have paid what it took to get Rice, but not this lad, he’s nowhere near.

If we’re looking to sign English players then Eze would be better for similar money, far more exciting and faster.

He's had 30 games in the premier league in forest's best season in 30 years and has 12 total goals involvements. He has the same number of big chances created as Bernardo who everyone has watched play a whole season without passing forward (36th in the league).

He's basically a poor man's Alex iwobi.

Common sense says it.

If we sign Wirtz for 100 million plus we’re not going to be paying upwards of 70 million for MGW as well. We just invested heavily in the Jan transfer window including signing Marmoush, for 60 million, who can also play in an advanced 10 role.

Yes, closest to Silva with a bit of Gundogan Energetic and tenacious, good in tight spaces like Bernardo but sees a pass and gets into the box like Gundogan or even Kovacic definitely an 8 for us,not a 10.

No it doesn't money wise there is no issue, we've been in profit for the last 3 years.MGW isn't the 10, we need 2 midfielders.Marmoush will play in the front 2/3
