Problem from a fee perspective is forest paid £40m for him and they will be wanting a big uplift on that.
If he was an a academy player, I'm sure we could get him for a lot less than has been touted round.

Our only benefit money wise is due to the fact he only has 2 years left on his contract so Forest have a depreciating asset if he stays and doesn't renew his deal.

He can switch play very quickly and is very aggressive when it comes to contact and running.

Could see scoring quite a bit crashing the box and would be a very useful addition.

City have an obvious interest but McAtee would have his own say where he ends up.

He's had 30 games in the premier league in forest's best season in 30 years and has 12 total goals involvements. He has the same number of big chances created as Bernardo who everyone has watched play a whole season without passing forward (36th in the league).

He's basically a poor man's Alex iwobi.

But he's not a natural goal scorer and he doesn't create chances at a high rate and he doesn't drive past people and his pass accuracy isn't next level etc etc.

I've felt before he was replacing 3 players Bernardo and Gundogan but more Bernardo.Watching that though he has a bit of Bernardo, Gundogan and Kovacic about him like an amalgamation of the 3. Not saying as good as any of them yet but certainly with the abilities for Pep to work on and make as good over the next 2 years. No guarantees he reaches those levels but he could.

I don't get this one if it happens. Worse than Grealish and worse than Palmer in my opinion. He's a good player but not someone that helps takes us to the next level. I guess it depends on what your expectations are as to whether he floats your boat.
