Morgan Gibbs-White

You mean all of 2025 ?

Surprising, especially the GD as we lost 5-1 to arsenal.
Yes. I downloaded it from transfermarkt. This is the link I used. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/jahrestabelle/wettbewerb/GB1

I have seen it published elsewhere too which is why I looked for it. I think City won something like 9 out of the last 12 league games that starts with the exit from the Champions League. I think that helped our squad because then we could play 1 game a week.

Probably worth a post of it's own on the main forum, might remind people that we're not as bad as some make us out.

Reading at quite a few places that MGW was coming to City. He was also the first transfer linked to us and now he is not even in the picture.
Keeping aside the posters view about his talents, I would be devastated if I was him.
Getting a chance to go to City, work under Pep ,stay close to your best friend Foden and win trophies guaranteed.

Imagine your agent telling everyone you are going to City - your current club asking a stupid amount and suddenly you are in a Harry Kane position because this move wont happen again.

He was always just too expensive. If our squad was where it was at a couple of years ago I'd be more than happy for us to sign him but we need a rebuild and the price it would cost to get him would more than likely force us to compromise in other areas.

He'd cost more than each of the three were likely to get and I don't think he'd improve us as much as them.

After the transfer window closed on Feb 3, we lost 5 games from 21 in all competitions through to the end of the season. Two against Real Madrid, one against Liverpool, one against Forest, and the FA Cup Final

I think buying English players is something we don’t need to do.
We need to give our own youth a chance

This.. need to be more about integrating kids into our side. If they aren't good enough.. no problem.. move on and make room for the next one, but sooner or later we're bound to find someone that fits!

That or CFG needs to buy a Bundesliga or Serie A club and play them.

I think G-W is fairly ordinary. He’d be ok here, but nothing special. Against that, Reindeers and Cherki look superior. I’m happy with the outcome.

It was a free transfer.

If you want to look at recruitment, consider the full picture. This is the annual league table. City are top, above even Liverpool and Arsenal who played more games.

Liverpool took their foot off the gas once the league was done.

Arsenal focused on the CL when their league ambitions were over.

Let's be real, Liverpool could've and would've got more points at the end had they needed to. So in this nonsense annual table, we probably still wouldn't be top and that's not good enough.

Annual tables are nonsense. What matters is August to May and we just scraped third place. Things need improving.

Absolute nonsense. You'd have thought that Foden becoming POTY last season would have killed this myth but still it persists.
MGW wouldn’t have been able to get a game in our team before last season and last season would only have been because of injuries.

Therefore he’d have had as much experience as McAtee and his development would have been far less than he has been able to grow at Forest.

That being said, I don’t see the hype with him anyway. He runs around a lot and can ping a cross field pass.

We need better than that.

To an extent this is true, but there's a pretty strong chance that the dippers drop points at Chelsea and Brighton and at home to Arsenal anyway.

Also, the reality is that we took 28 points from the first 18 games and 43 from the following 20, after the January transfer window opened, so we've already improved quite significantly.

Clearly, there's a bit further to go, though.

Honestly mate they would love you over on rawk, the sycophancy towards the dippers is truly boring
