Possibly, but they've set the standards now. Reijnders, Cherki and Ait Nouri would all be in their squad in my opinion.

No chance, and this is why we probably need to upgrade, but wouldn't say Gibbs White is the upgrade we need.Would Gundogan, Kovacic or Bernardo?
Gundogan and Bernardo at their best would.

Hilarious that whenever we were linked we were told the price would be about £80m or north of that, and the blokes had a £60m Clause all along.

No but GW could possibly have more legs than the older guys. We are just so absent of speed in midfield, other than Reijnders.No, but that doesn't mean we should sign Gibbs-White does it
I would be delighted but shocked if we aren't over run game after game on the counter because our players are too jaded, old or slow to get back and help.
I actually admire the mentality of Gundogan, Kovacic and Bernardo but I think their race is run at this level and we need younger more energetic hungry players. If not the best of the English then who given the squad rules.
I'd have preferred Gibbswhite to Livermento who seems very average at best.

No pressure on him at spurs to perform as they are Spursey. He can happily take his huge wage rise and slide into lazy English player mode there.
I don't think he'd have tolerated Pep making him work his arse off to earn his wage here.

Gibbs-White = Work rate.The first thing anyone mentions about him is work rate. That's not a rare skill.
It's not like he's exceptionally talented.
Livramento = Home grown.
Hopefully the club are looking for players based on ability rather than the above criteria being key, as they seem to be for many.

Gibbs White isn't a bad player at all, but I don't want to see the likes of Gundogan and Kovacic replaced with above average English players, who aren't even regulars for the England side.
The fact he's gone to Spurs tells you we were never interested, and that the new look Spurs is probably his level ie fighting for top 8.
I think Gibbs White would have been a terrible signing for us, and one I'm relieved we never went along with.
