If we were to buy a midfielder from Villa I'd rather it be Onana or Kamara.
Even Villa fans don't rate Onana

Rumour says we have a buy back clause?
This forum has habit of discarding of opinions of fans of other clubs as if others don’t watch football and only they are knowledgeableEven Villa fans don't rate Onana
Really? Shocks me that. Always looks a beast when I've seen him. They obviously have seen him more than I have, so have a better idea of him.Even Villa fans don't rate Onana

Don't worry about who plays where, and concentrate on the bit where he would really strengthen our squadFrom what I've seen he looks a great player but as others have said where do we play him?
Doesn't look like a winger. He looks like a much better version of Reinjders.
Given that Rodri starts and we are buying Anderson, and Cherki is our 10, nevermind Foden. Where?
Stefan thinks they have to sell as they are going to breach PSR again
He reminds me of Abou Diaby when he was at Arsenal. A very good player when his body allows, but misses too many games to be a top player.Onana is a highly talented player but has suffered 9 separate injuries since joining Villa, 5 of them related to hamstrings. Were I a Villa fan, I would be more urging the club to get to the root of that problem rather than criticising his ability.
Villa bought him from Middlesbrough so that is impossible.
We can’t. We got money when Villa bought him that is it. Boro might have a sell on clause however. That’s why I came in to this topic to see if anyone could shed some light about this.
How can we have a buy back when they didn’t even buy him off us?
Then again, footballs a dodgy game. The deals teams make are crazy so I suppose anything could be in a contract.
Abou Diaby was so bloody good in those 5 minute spells he could play.He reminds me of Abou Diaby when he was at Arsenal. A very good player when his body allows, but misses too many games to be a top player.

Yeah, and I think Onana could have been similar. When I watch him now, he always seems to hold something back as if he can’t trust his body.Abou Diaby was so bloody good in those 5 minute spells he could play.
I can see that - shame really. It'll be interesting to see how he does at the World Cup, as he'll have to do a lot of work in that midfieldYeah, and I think Onana could have been similar. When I watch him now, he always seems to hold something back as if he can’t trust his body.
I saw Belgium played with a false 9 the other night. I wonder if they’ll do that to lessen the defensive load on KDB and Doku, or whether they’ll play Lukaku.I can see that - shame really. It'll be interesting to see how he does at the World Cup, as he'll have to do a lot of work in that midfield
Another player that doesn’t have a set postition, not a striker not a winger not creative enough as a 10 doesn’t look great in tight spaces works well in a specfific system like Villa … why are the club so interested in these profilesAnother attacking midfielder...
Makes no sense lol.
Every link I read makes me think they are either nonsense or the clear out will be more massive than I had expected.
