Your user name - in common currency - connotes a threat (from above). Your tone in your thread, "Have we all forgotten?", and your posts, reminds me of a sarcastic form master who is itching to bring the hammer down on someone. As far as I am aware, you have offered no explanation as to why this forum is any concern of yours (though it clearly is, now). You then violate the code of conduct by calling City fans (who have a particular view) 'dicks', and 'queens' whilst suggesting they might not have a / the required love of football if possessed of a certain temerity: what new and evolving standard are we applying on this forum? Is it something that will be reduced to writing, and which we are all required to affix our seals? I have read the terms and conditions, and I see nothing about tolerating rags qua rags or having to endorse so-called banter with non-City fans at the risk of implied threats and abuse from above.

I don't really know where to start with this one. Firstly, my name is Damocles on several forums, including mancityforum, citymancs and a few others. If you believe I have purposely called myself this to intimidate people, you are severely mistaken. If you have any knowledge of the story of Damocles, it is an ancient Greek myth denoting the struggle of a man who wanted to attain power and when faced with it's realities, decided against it. What you are referring to, is the Sword of Damocles, which is the impending threat from above, which is not my username. I have no control over whether or not you perceive my username as aggressive.
Secondly, I have broken no code of conduct. It states that people should be treated with respect, I don't see where calling 'dicks' and 'queens' to people who are being dicks is a problem. It also has a bit about accusations of megalomania which you should probably read.
Thirdly, I'm not going to ban anyone. I'm sorry, but that's not why I am here. If no other moderators are online and something is flagged up as a problem that needs fixing straight away, I will fix it. Other than that, my interest lies in the forum's technical side and how I can help improve the server.
Fourthly, you should be able to tell the difference of when something is a personal opinion, and a new policy I do have the right to a personal opinion, however much you disagree with me.
Fifthly, I may not have announced myself in a big public 'look at me' post, but to be honest, I didn't feel the need to. If it helps you settle:
My name is blue because I am part of the Administrator group. I am part of this group so I can have access to the Admin Control Panel which allows me to change some forum settings without having to dig in to the raw database on the server.
The reason it has gone blue, is because we recently implemented a 50 post permissions policy which required the creation of a new usergroup. This moved every user with above 50 posts in to a new group known as Verified Users, including the Admins. It was necessary to override these back, and as Ric put me in the Admin usergroup, when I clicked "Default for all users in group", my name became blue. If it seriously offends you, I can change it back.

For the purposes of testing/repairing, Ric has given me admin access on the site and the server. This also means that I can keep the site up while he is away next week. Although I need the mod powers for now, I will only use them in either site testing or extreme examples, as I don't want to step on your toes.
For those who don't know me, I'm a computer systems engineer, and have spent the past few years working on high traffic sites and doing freelancer web development. I know all about phpBB3, and am sometimes useful in the PHP/SQL languages, so the intention is for me to tweak things until the site doesn't crash or slow down during the next signing. We aren't there yet, but we should be soon.

Just to clarify, I was invited by Ric to help out on the site, and have tried to conduct myself in a professional demeanour. I didn't think that every post I now make will be scrutinised to this level and presumed to be a new policy. I will think about it before I post something next time.
