I don't blame pogba for not signing a contract, united were comfortably winning against bolton and Ferguson still didn't give him any match time.

I think bringing Scholes from retirement should be a bigger factor.

Man City pass up the chance to prize Pogba from neighbours United

Manchester City have turned down the opportunity to secure Manchester United's 18-year-old midfielder Paul Pogba on a pre-contract agreement for next season.

City have been looking to improve their options in the centre of midfield and were offered the France youth international during a meeting with the agent, Mino Raiola, at the beginning of last week but were wary of his financial demands.

The club also are conscious of the complications involved in taking one of United's most prized assets away from their neighbours' academy.

Although Pogba will be free to join the club of his choice when his three-year contract at Old Trafford expires this summer, a switch to another Premier League club would almost certainly necessitate an English Football Association tribunal with a potentially expensive outcome

Were is that from?

You can just see it, can't you, from an "independent" FA tribunal

£20m development fee and 40% of next sale clause - it would be guaranteed..........

The same idiot who insisted united had agreed terms with Sneijder in summer and did a big unveil for the news on twitter.

Tbf I've never seen him call anything right.

As mentioned his agent is Mario's, to think he'd get to the negotiating table without being pretty sure it's what both parties want is naive

all he's saying is that the watch wasn't his

This was in yesterdays M.E.N.

To be honest I would really go for the both of them especially Morrison.

What have we got to loose? a couple of million transfer fee, and if he has got half the talent we are told he has got then we will eaisly recoup that back if it didnt work out with him with us.

come on City get him on board!

Morrison needs to agree to behaviour therapy if he's to join us, he skips training freely and the rags don't punish him because he is just that good. But long-term his attitude is destructive and could have a bad effect on our club if he was to come here. He badly needs to get out of his wanabee gangster lifestyle and get his head down.

Coming to City won't change him. He needs a complete break from the scum he is associating with, and a new life in a new club in a new city. Then maybe someone to mentor him and show him what is and isn't acceptable and what exactly is expected of him. If he blows that chance then he really isn't worth saving.

Patrick Vieira would not be the world's worst role model to mentor the prick

I agree, coming to City won't help Morrison break away from his dodgy peers, if anything, putting more money in his pocket would fuel the fire. He needs to go out on loan somewhere for 12 months. Get some matches under his belt and concentrate on his football. If he is as good as people are saying and the youtube clips seen to confirm this, then we could have a serious look at him in 12 months time. Right now, he's a bad egg and we don't need anymore of them rocking the boat.

I'd rather we went for him now and loaned him out to Spain / Italy for 12 months, rather than going back in for him later and finding we've missed the boat.

If he's as good as they claim, it'd surely be worth risking £1m / £2m+ on him now, getting him away for a year to play 1st team football away from his 'mates' and see how he does?

Plus, if we signed both of these kids it'd be a huge blow for the rags. My rag mates have been talking non stop about these 2 for a while now.

Young talent choosing City over United.... even more so, young talent already at United choosing to move to City... yet another nail in the coffin.

Course, all depends on whether they want to come, we want them, or if they'd sell to us.... little details...
