Most exciting City player ever

I guess exciting is subjective. Haaland seems inevitable, rather than exciting to me so far. (Not that he isn’t exciting)

Growing up, David White was the player that excited me most.

Tevez was unbelievable in is first couple of seasons too.
Me too (David White) used to love how wide he would start, the proverbial “get some white on your boots lad” his pace, trickery, directness and ability to go across the keeper with a shot/goal mesmerised me as a young teenager with my face against the railings on the Kippax

First world superstar you say?

Not for those of us who saw Colin Bell.
Pele, Beckenbauer, Garrincha, Cruyff, Best and the like were world superstars. Colin was a magnificent player but his fame was not on that level. Most probably, regarding English players at the time, our biggest stars were the likes of Moore and Charlton.

None of our players has ever been realistically recognised by the media. If Messi had played for us he'd have been ignored. I do think it will be difficult to ignore Haaland though but the media are already trying via headlines earlier this season such as "who is the better buy - Haaland or Nunez?"
Imagine if De Bruyne, Sergio or Merlin played for scum or dippers, awards aplenty. With us, silence.
