Martin Keown was renting a holiday home a few miles from me just after he had left Arsenal. Me and my mates about 10 at the time were just pissing about on the beach front and we saw him buying an ice cream, we immediately ran over to him and started chatting. He signed autographs which I lost and chatted for a bit, it was a few months after that bad tempered game against United where he had allegedly smacked Ruud van Nistlerooy in the tunnel.

So my rag mate asked him "Did you smack Ruud Van Nistlerooy?" and he replied "No.... but I fucking should have!".
