Most Gutted you've Been About a player leaving

Strangely for me it's Distin moving to Portsmouth. Him and Dunnie kept us up more than once and with all due respect to Pompey moving there for "ambition" sought of said where we were in footballing terms. Six years later and we're playing Bayern, Ajax and Real Madrid in the Champions League. I still have to pinch myself some days.

Trevor Francis and Dennis Tueart (the first time).

Me too. And didn't the club wait til all the S/T money was in before selling Francis! Total betrayal that was.

SWP, De Jong, Goater, Dunne - three of my favourite ever City players and felt they still had a lot to offer for us when they left (of course, SWP did when he came back).

Was sad to see Distin go, and also Sturridge and Onouha. For those two, not necessarily because of their ability, as neither were first choice by the time we left and we had several quality players ahead of them, but because it would have been great to see some players from the academy make it to the top with us, like Richards did.

Three and a half?

When Peter Barnes, left I thought City were finished forever and I was really angry with the club. In my opinion back then he was the bet payer I'd ever seen apart from George Best.

I was also gutted over SWP leaving and then more recently Craig Bellamy, which Im sure will amuse a few Bluemooners, but I thought he epitomised the new City... Hated the rags with a passion oh and not forgetting his announcement on Sky about how ice a guy Terry was lol

Franny Lee, Gary Owen but most of all SWP. It was SWP who helped me keep the faith and would actually get me on the edge of my seat at a time when there was little else to get excited about. Totally gutted when he left, even moreso with what followed in the next couple of seasons under Stuart Pearce.
