Most gutting loss this season.

Liverpool away in the CL. We lost the tie then and it was hands down our worst performance of the season.

Wigan was frustrating but I don't care about the FA cup like I do with the prem and CL. Second worst for me was United at home.

I’d like to win the FA Cup again before too long. The final had always been an occasion.

“Reds” in the pub were cheering Liverpool’s goals as they went in. One was sat on the table next to mine watching Sheffield United v Cardiff a week or two later thinking it was Sunderland v Carlisle.

Liverpool first leg. Was really on a downer after that. Had high hopes we would go through and the attack on our bus and the manner of the defeat was hard to swallow. I think our youngsters will have learned from the experience.

+1. I suspected we would lose but thought we would at least stay in the tie. One of those rare matches where after I had that feeling that I couldn't face football ever again. Obviously the feeling fades after a day or two. I find it's similar to waking up after a piss up and genuinely thinking you'll never drink again but at the same time knowing that you will.
Yes it was the way we rolled over after their first goal. The united game was something of a freak result although I doubt it would have happened if not for the Liverpool game. A touch of the “here we go again”. But the Liverpool first half performance was desperately disappointing. Plus we’d endured all of the Liverpool fans and ex players saying we would capitulate at Anfield and we did

Dippers away first leg, mainly because their first goal changed the whole tie and it was offside. Before that we were secure and looked dangerous, afterwards the crowd we ignited even more and we wilted. Coupled with the goal in the second half for us being chalked off whilst being onside, the whole game defined the tie. Cannot say for sure we would have won the tie but I don’t think it would have been a 3 goal deficit or even a deficit if that first goal is not allowed

Has to be Liverpool CL.

The derby was disappointing but we clearly had one eye on the Liverpool game so I sort of for why we relaxed second half.

It was still clear that even our weakened team was in another planet to the rags so I'm not too bothered about it.

Anfield in the CL didn’t bother me as much because it was only the first leg. If that shot that hit the post in the match at ours had gone in then we’d have had it back to 3-2 at half time. Momentum with us.

I think we all know, deep down, that European success isn’t as important to us as it is to Isstree Liverpool La. The competition needs reforming. You shouldn’t finish fourth and qualify.

That's because they know they're only any good over 13 games
