Most Important City Goal

Dickov at wembley plus there should be honarable mentions to goaters goal in the second leg v wigan which was a horible game to watch.

My mate reckons Terry Cooke putting us 2 - 1 up at Britol Rovers which we went on to draw is one of those important goals. Because if we'd lost we might have ended up having to play Preston who we hadn't beaten home or away that season.

My personal fave is Yaya v the rags in the semi final. So many years having to put up with all the crap they used to give us and it all changed with yaya putting under the legs van der sar

Tough question but ultimately the Dickov goal got us the chance to get promoted and then we got to a position where we were attractive to foreign investment.

The Yaya winner against the rags and Stoke to win our first trophy were critical...would we have been in a league title race without a cup win?

Think it all comes back to the 99 playoff final ultimately.

Just read the flashback discussion and it got me thinking about the most important and for that reason the best goal ever in a City shirt and we don't get the Aguero moment without it. It has to be the best goal in City history by our future die-hard blue manager.
I think I can guess which goal you're referring to. But it'd be nice if you'd actually named the goal.

This one for me, and I am kind of not joking:

This pretty much summed us up over that period and made us the fans that we are today. Always grateful because we never win at home and we never win away. The eternal underdogs is what makes it all feel so much better.

I would say Kompany's header against United in that 2012 run-in, but the Aguero goal will be in our DNA forevermore. It's now become that moment in football history that will live forever. Even non-Manchester City fans still talk about that as the best Premier League moment
