Radiohead, they're good, but not that good.

World beaters up to Ok Computer, then shite for a bit (kid A era) but really like In Rainbows again.

By the way "what does the tall one actually do?"

Coward. For me, it has to be The Smiths. Christ knows what (admittedly) so many see in them. Alright, some of their songs aren't ridiculously bad, melody wise. The one basic flaw in their make-up is that the lead singer hasn't got a note in his head. Seriously. Actually listen to him trying to sing. It's embarrassing.

listen to the lyrics.... Mozza is possibly the best song writer since Lennon & McCartney, personnally not my favourites but the man can write a tune which joe average can relate to, very talented.

Read my post again. The sentence beginning "The one basic flaw....". I never passed comment on his songwriting 'skills'.

All of the above with the exception of Guadino slagging off Pink Floyd

Music reach its peak in the 70's with the genius of hard rock with Deep Purple and the cool of Pink Floyd. Punk was an attempt to make money with no talent, the 80's gave spandau ballet and the like a stage, and the 90's and until now has been a total waste.

If you can't play, get off the stage

ok ok ur correct my mistake i think its just a matter of taste, if you wanna listen to somebody wiv a beautiful singing voice why not listen to opera or x-factor tackle!

look at Liam Gallagher a lot of people say he cant sing to save his life and i agree he aint got the strongest singin voice but for me he's been the best rock n roll star over the last 20 years, Ian Brown... cannot sing a note live BUT again fantastic frontman of the roses... Shaun Ryder well what can i say the man makes Mozza sound like Leona Lewis BUT again an iconic legend with the Monday's.... its personal oppinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im not a coward...there just isn't enough pixels in the world to cope with the bile I could spew in this thread;) If its any consolation I agree with every band mentioned so far.....Here's one, Brian Ferry....oh go on you've twisted my arm...Damon Gough...er...David Bowie, hasn't done a decent album since the early seventies...Amy Winehouse....If she's that good why arent we all listening to helen Shapiro?....Fiddy...fuck him and fuck his kind....Enya...Dido...Jonny Rotten....Ian Brown...John Lennon...Paul Mc Cartney...George Harrison....anything under the banner "ministry of sound"....Kylie Minogue....Pink Floyd....Deep Purple...Before anyone criticises me for choosing Floyd consider this....why have they NEVER been criticised for sounding the same on every album?....Before I get attacked for this, remember, the thread title is OVERATED BANDS, and in MY OPINION these are all over rated, even though I like bits and bobs of all of them....except U2...they ARE just shit. Apologies in advance if Ive offended anyone...Remember, it's just an opinion. Everyone seems to have an opinion on what I listen to so fuck it!
