Isn't it for sponsors, the' taking your shirt off when celebrating' booking? To enable them to get more coverage when a goal is scored or something? I'm sure I've heard that from a few people.

Blatter introduced the yellow card for taking the shirt off to stop women doing it. He thought it would having an adverse effect on the asian and middle east television markets for the women's world cup. But he couldn't just introduce it for women's football, had to do it for both genders.
