Whilst we all wait, constantly clicking F5 (or Mac equilivant) every 5 minutes for the proposed signings of Kolorov, Milner, Baliotelli, Dzebo etc I would thought I would just try and fill some time with a little debate

What has been the biggest surprise in the transfer market this summer? And it doesn't just have to be City related....

I would start with Donavan to us, but think its been completely blown out of proportion

Quite surprised that Twitter hasn't been wheeling and dealing and making plenty of 'shrewd' signings so far this summer

for me, david villa. 35 mill seems a snippet and we should of blown barca out of the water. could understand if we had an agreement for ibra etc, but i find it hard to believe it was yaya to us and we will stand back from villa. even more so when you think he could of linked with silva again.

Not really surprising but I do find the Benayoun to Chelsea and then Cole to the dippers a strange bit of business, and from the dippers point of view a very good piece of business

Bramble to Sunderland

Not a bad player, but the Mackems will be gutted as they gave the Mags stick over Bramble

Benayoun to Chelsea. Unusual for a "top 4" club to let a player go to another rival

I can't believe 'Arry hasn't bought anyone yet. That's unbelievable, they're in the Chumps league and he hasn't even strengthened the squad. I hope the get humiliated before the group stages, serve them right for beating us :)

Hitzlsperger to West Ham. One of the players who should keep them further above the relegation zone next season.

This guy to city.

Shay and Patrick look visibly underwhelmed.

We could have blown them out of the water as much as we liked and it would have made no difference. I really don't think Villa would have wanted to join us.
