Good one Bozo! LOVED that song on their album last year, called 'Dick Around'....amazing over the top madness. Sounds like something Freddie Mercury might have been doing if he was still around...

LOADS of bands I feel have been criminally under rated over the years, my beloved Cheap Trick amongst them. But, of recent times, for me add:

IAN MCNABB

THE WILDHEARTS

MATTHEW SWEET
 
The Cooper Temple Clause

perhaps underrated is not the right term, they were critically acclaimed but never managed to win over the mass market

There are NO under-rated bands around these days ..... only hundreds of OVER-rated ones!
 
For me it's the Editors, definitely the most underated band in the UK, 2 top class albums, superb live band and never get any mention in the media or press, they don't get the appreciation they deserve IMO, also Feeder are in the same boat

feeder are a band for 14 year olds. i loved them years ago, they were my favourite band. they're everyone's favourite average band as a friend said to me.

as for editors, i found their first album pretty dull and i've not heard the 2nd but the singles are class. maybe they're just a singles band because i thoroughly enjoyed the singles from the first album, too. i've always thought with the editors that they're just a poor man's Interpol and maybe that's put a mental block on me liking them, who knows?

but Interpol, now there's an underrated band!

SFA and Radiohead are two of the most critically acclaimed bands around and both (Radiohead in particular) are extremely popular.

How are they underrated?

By the way, if you think this is criticism against the bands, it's not at all. They're two of my favourites
 
Butch Walker is great, really underrated guy.

Stereophonics should be bigger internationally. Seem to me they've gotten a bad rep for some reason, I think they're brilliant.
