Well you completely missed the point! It was meant to take the piss out of the rags, it wasn't aimed at you! Don't you know they ALWAYS focus on United on that show?
 
my mates dad works for the bbc, he knows guy mowbray and lawrenson very well. i've mentioned this before on here but i'll say it again, my mate claims that lawrenson likes city and whilst talking to my mates dad (a blue) is full of praise for us.

i therefore do not understand why the **** slates us at every opportunity whilst on t.v, maybe he's just being nice in front of my mates dad but the guys a ****.

oh and by the way, my mate has confirmed that his dad has told that hansen really doesn't like city, he said he slates them off camera as well.

Nah, they brushed that defeat under the carpet as well. Not only did we have the Chelsea defeat to QPR + 2 sending offs, they also chucked in a racism scandal with the tabloids favourite punchbag. Stuffing the rags at home was merely a formality, as footy expert Lawro says "Even Norwich and Basle got at them...City were lucky not to meet them when Arsenal did!!!!"

I can only see things getting worse as they will now broadcast across the road from the swamp. Great

is he? never got the hatred for him, hansen i do get. i remember when we were shit he used to praise the fans and call us the best in the country, even said it last year i think, saying we deserve success. this inferiority complex we have is getting a bit silly now

I like Lawro. We can't all start moaning every time someone expresses an opinion on us that isn't entirely positive.

With Hansen it is clear to see that he dislikes us to say the least but I don't see that with Lawrenson.
 
There's a macho thing going on with some people on here - as if to say you're not a real man/not a real fan if you get wound up by the media bias. Well I don't mind admitting that I do, altho I try to persuade myself that most of them are talking out of their arses - especially Hansen Lawro and Sheepshearer.

I have to pinch myself to ensure that everything this season is real - 10 games in and dropped only 2 points; record goals; best football ever played in the uk in living memory; stuffed our biggest rivals and present champions 6-1 on their patch, and all I've heard seen is how Utd are back on track after a win at Everton, with Arsenal and Spuds the Bees Knees again - Spuds going for the premier league title now apparently! They're unstoppable - they've just beaten QPR at home - didn't you know? QPR for christ's sake - I ask you! Oh aye - wait a minute - Spuds; didn't we stuff them on their patch as well? Was it 4-1 or 5-1? My memory's unclear as I've seen so many fuckin' goals this season....or maybe it's all just a dream.

Spuds midfield better than ours? Can't wait to play them at home and put that 1 to the test. I bet the Spuds fans can't wait!

5-1 at Spuds; 6-1 at Old Trafford? Maybe I've already died and gone to heaven. Liverpool Chelsea and The Arse - twice - to come soon. Bring it on!!

BBC/The press/Talkshyte? You couldn't make it up - but unfortunately, they do! If we keep winning, and improving, they'll all be an irrelevance soon - in fact, they probably are already.
 
Don't want to start a new thread on this, so seeing as this is about MOTD2 I thought I'd put it on here.

I only saw MOTD2 (the 1-6 game) properly the other day when I got home (wife recorded it). I was at the game, and can well remember the place being nearly empty when the City players came to us at the end. However, if you watch MOTD2 you can clearly hear 'we love united we do, we love united we do' etc, etc sang really loudly. Now, I for one can't remember hearing the Rags singing that when the players came over to us at the end, and I don't think there were enough of them to do it, but my memory could be clouded by the euphoria I was feeling at that minute.

So, was I just missing it, or have the BBC fucked around with the sound recording and just edited in some Rag singing for their overseas viewers, and to placate Fergie?
 
We have to be more understanding. Most of the press and sports tv commentators are trying to work their way through a very difficult problem. Its called "how do I start saying that City are a good team without making my previous comments look stupid?"

A very small number such as Samuel dont have to.

A very small number such as Jonathan Northcroft have taken the honest "I was wrong" approach

Some are still in denial

Some are opting for "deflection". Dont talk about the team, talk about Tevez, Garry Cook, Balotelli's latest stunt, the money. Anything but the team.

But most are doing it by degrees. Firstly an acknowledgement that Silva is a decent player, then some faint praise for Mancini, then a recognition that we are scoring a few goals, then that we might actually challenge United for the title. Taking as long as possible over the process hoping that everyone forgets what they said two years ago. Eventually they'll be saying "As I've said all along............"

if he predicts us to draw away from home on his predictions its like he called every single one of us cunts judging by some of the reactions on here.
