MOTD Tonight

According to Motson, Milner was responsible for 'perpetrating' a goal in a previous match.

I'm calling Crimestoppers. That evil bastard needs to be stopped.

Yes, please do.

His commentary has been melodramatic shite for years. ;-)

Hasn't it just?

I could have sworn he'd retired from commentary; I assume it must just be internationals.

He's often on the Monday night programme on Radio 5, and hearing him trying to be chummy with the players/managers is excruciating.

Villa have been playing very good football. I was in dreamland watching city again though. I was gutted they didnt show the fool of a right back falling on his arse again infront of the south stand.
It's gotta be in MOTD 2 tomorrow, the good and bad thing they do!

Villa will finish in the top 4.

They deserve to.
yeh there doing ok but i think the bubble will burst next seasson looks like they may get rapped of a few players

I'm not so sure.

O'Neil is a good manager who isn't afraid to stand up to the "big 4" as the Barry case shows. As well as virtually creating the next England side. Villa are one to watch and maybe part of the new "big 4". (should the premier league allow it)

Most of the hype came from his own employers, the BBC.

IMHO there were much better commentators than him at the time.

Always like Barry Davies, far less hyperbole.

Tony Gubba, though.

*shudders*

Good shout on Davies. Always rated him better than that dope Motson.

I always wondered how they managed to do commentary on games which had taken place with a straight face. Say a sub came on and scored - do you foreshadow this and make yourself look like a smart-arse? How do you get excited?
