MOTD's new opening sequence

Embarrassingly poor editing, decent idea, but if you can't pull it off, go back to the drawing board

I have worked in TV for 30+ years and in a creative role and I can tell you professionally it is poor. Although a reasonable idea, it needs far more money throwing at it to make the grading and keying in of old footage with the new, to be more believeable. Anyone who knows their stuff would not even attempt it unless you could throw serious money at it. Look at Skys commercial with Cantona. That is serious money and there are some bits that still won't work. You have to be at the level of Nike or Adidias.
As for last year's titles, I checked YouTube today and they have been basically the same for at least the past 3 seasons, just updated with some new shots. But still, that was a very good idea that did not give themselves problems from the start. The key to any good creative- a good idea that is achievable with the budget allocated.

made me feel sick watching it.

talk about trying to sweeten slur alex up.

Same amount as the number of blues then:

Trevor Francis
Colin Bell
Richard Dunne
Carlos Tevez
Shay Given
Kevin Keegan
Shaun Wright-Phillips

total shite....who checks the quality of these things? Maybe it considered PC and "arty" as it gives me the impression it was done by a blind, one armed ferking moron with genetic spastic paraparesis.....

What does PC have to do with it? Political correctness doesn't enter into the new title sequence one bit.

MOTD is pure pish from start to finish but what really turns my stomach are those twats sorry football geniuses who know everything about tactics, formations and what clubs will finish where at the end of the season.Mind you, that start to the program comes a close 2nd

To retro and sickly, hankering after the 1966 Glory years and whatever. Its sad they have pretty much nothing else to glorify.Really poor effort.
