Kompany is definately man of the match for me. He just seems to be our biggest influence in the midfield. He puts pressure on the opposition, holds onto the ball, accurate passing, and has some nice trickery. Plus due to him holding on Bellamy got the ball and scored! :D

Everyone did great and definately improved on the second half.

Richards just looked so much better today and if he keeps playing like that he will shut up any criticism from me! Zabaleta was attacking everything! De Jong ... oooo lovely slide tackles and definately stopped the attack solo several times. Bridge seemed great in stopping crosses and getting throw-ins and not conceding corners.

I though one of the best improvements was:

1. We were hungry
2. Everyone came to play
3. Someone told them to stop conceding corners
 
Kompany for me with Ireland a close second. Kompany just exudes class and he really was a driving force in the second half.
 
i only saw the second half but im giving it to kompany, just for taking out skrtel and some other dude with one magnificent jump
 
De Jong for me just from Kompany. His positional sense was immense. He seemed to cover everybody when needed. Him and Kompany will prove great buys. Certainly rammed that prick Lawrensons comments down his throat!
