On my way to the tattoo shop.
I'm looking into getting one. I've got the full Sky package (mainly for sports but do watch the occasional film) but wouldn't mind watching the matches not on Sky.
Is there anybody on here that knows much about them? What dish/receiver should I be looking at and would I be able to subscribe or receive channels showing the footie?
Would it be worth me getting one?

So really you're hoping to pick up some German porn?

I've got myself an IPTV box, can take it any where in the world and receive Sky, BEIN sports, BT sport, BBC, ITV and lots more.
Bit expensive but I'm loving it.

(Bought it in Thailand and only used it overseas but presume it's legal).

it depends how much money you want to spend,
top end boxes are "dreambox"
a good starter box is "VU+ duo/solo"

you will need to do quite a bit of reading up on things like clines, images, bouquets, skins,
most of them run on Linux so a little knowledge on this might help,

I'm a member of a good UK Forum that specialises in this kind of thing but I'm unsure if I'm allowed to name/link to it?

Not sure about motorised satellite dishes. I've got a 350mm wok, with a usb wireless dongle at the focal point. Gets me free wi-fi from Pizza Express over the road. Probably not the same thing ;)
