Not too long ago one of the Chelsea player kicked the opponent and got away with it.It was a straight red but I can't remember who it was.

Etoo against Liverpool. Gave away a clear penalty late in that game away which would have been the equaliser and two dropped points.

City get all the luck.

Mindgames schmindgames

It's just a media fallacy. Mindgames are a factor in 1 v 1 sports. 2 old foreign guys gossiping in the media don't affect whichever 11 players we put out on the pitch.

At a stretch one could argue that when the gossiping managers teams face each other there may be a small effect but that's it.

Mourinho wins lots of trophies not because he talks shite to an adoring press room but because he's tactically astute and exceptional at man management

Too much credit is being given to Mourinho. He's a gobby twat, not a psychologist, who is exploiting the gap in the market vacated by old Bacon. The only interesting thing about him is he's become obsessed with us.

chippy boy, who is also getting more frequent in his snidey, off the cuff comments

Have I told you to fuck off lately? Perhaps I should. Unless you have any evidence whatsoever for any "snidey" comments. If you think Mourinho's outbursts prior to last Monday night played no part in the outcome, you are a fool, nothing more to be said.

Now this is how to initiate mind games and your response fell perfectly into my lap- you see the psychology side is way above your comprehension, hence your response to pardoe as 'this' - and sadly the only people believing that the 'mind games' played a part are the ones, like yourself, who they are working on..... As stated earlier in the thread chip, put aguero, nasri and fern in that team, Maureen can say exactly the same and the outcome would be what???????? In fact put fernandinho in that team and the outcome would of been completely different, yet the excuse thrown out is pellegrini is weak????
Get to fuck.... As not to derail another thread I'm available by PM for any 'fuck offs' you may want to get off your chest.....

Congratulations. You are the 1st person to make it to my ignore list. Goodbye.

I don't know if anyone caught the "Dimbleby Lecture" the other night. In it Christine Legarde, Managing Director of the IMF, delivered an absorbing three hour exposition into the relative economic hegemony of little and big horses.

Fascinating stuff

Your posts GDM are a tiny oasis of sanity in this mad, mad world...

Anyone who thinks 'mind games' actually work on anyone in professional football and aren't some made up cliche from a press desperate for an angle to write their fairy tales are either under the age of 16, a bit slow or a Utd/Liverpool fan (they lap that shit up)

I don't know why people pay so much attention to this "mind games" crap, it doesn't, and never has existed. You win leagues and trophies by winning more games than the opposition, I can't remember anyone winning anything by something someone has said.

A manager may try and shift the "pressure" on to other clubs or managers, but it's how the players do over 90 mins of football, nothing more nothing less.

Mourinho can say what he wants, it isn't going to affect how we perform, if after 38 games we have the most points we win the league, if not we don't, nothing Mourinho can do or say now to affect that apart from getting his own team to perform on the pitch.
